Being so large, Cloyne will never get the award for the cleanest or quietest coop, but one thing is for sure: no matter what you are into, with 148 residents, there will always be those who share your hobbies and interests.

Cloyne Court, the largest house in the organization and a registered historic landmark, is physically close to classes yet removed enough to offer respite from the hubbub of Berkeley. We offer the largest hot tub in the BSC, a new sauna, two TV rooms, a pool table, foosball, a piano, and the largest courtyard of any house in the system. Our widely muraled walls offer much for other houses to envy, and also display the creative talents, cooperative tradition, and positive history of our membership.
Our residents can be found reading and hanging out on comfy couches in the sunny “lib-ed” room, chatting and eating at the picnic tables in the courtyard, hitting the books in the quiet and private study room downstairs, tinkling the ivories on our piano, using the darkroom, or shooting hoops on our full length basketball court.
